    Student Life

The Office of Student Life & Services provides support, services, resources, advocacy for students, activities, events, social programming, and leadership opportunities.

NYU Tandon is home to over 40 student clubs that represent academic, cultural, political, professional, religious, spiritual, service, social, and recreational interests.

From engaging in conversations about diversity and inclusion at our annual Diversity in STEM or Women in STEM Summits, to honing your personal leadership skills at our Leadership Lab programs, or to running your own student organization, the opportunities to get involved are endless at Tandon.

The student life at NYU Tandon is a very much opportunistic, and it's very much intuitive as well. Each and every department in NYU has chapters and clubs along with them. So, if you are in any department-- you will get mailed every day regarding events, one or the other. The two student organizations I was mainly involved with at NYU were first, British International, which is a student club for international students, and a second club, NSBE. NSBE is the National Society for Black Engineers. I was part of one of the greatest clubs, I think, that are there in NYU Tandon, and it was great. The name of the club that I was part of is Design for America. We had a lot of connections with professors. And of course, also making a lot of friends that are also interested in the same things as you. Each and every school has a different career center, and each of them are very much associated with the clubs and chapters. So when you go and talk to club members, they will guide you through the process, and they will help you out in whatever you have questions regarding that particular field. For NSBE, they helped me a lot with preparing for the job board as well. We had a lot of Show and Tell from companies like Goldman Sachs, Facebook, CBS. So they would come to campus to meet NSBE students, and have like presentations, and job openings. Being a student at NYU was an amazing experience.
